Who we are
First Bites is made by Data Hound Tech LLC, Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Contact: alex@datahoundtech.com. Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else.
Consumer health data we collect
A parent or caregiver enters this information about their child:
- foods offered and feeding dates and times;
- reactions (none, mild, or “called doctor”) and free-text notes, which may describe symptoms;
- allergen introduction history, and the statuses the app calculates from it (for example “watching,” “established,” “reaction”);
- food preferences, custom foods and meal-plan choices;
- the baby’s optional name or nickname and optional birthday, used to show age-appropriate information.
Why we collect and use it
We use it only to provide the service you asked for:
- showing your log, food board, allergen windows, nutrient view, plans and reports;
- if you create an account, syncing that data across your devices and to the family members you invite.
We don’t use it for advertising, profiling, research or AI training.
Where it comes from
Only from you, and from family members you invite who log entries in your shared family. We don’t buy it or collect it from anyone else.
Where it’s kept
On your device by default. It is also kept on our server only if you create an optional account.
Who we share it with
- Family members you choose (by sharing your invite code or link).
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which runs the servers that store synced data on our behalf. It acts as our processor and may not use the data for its own purposes.
- Our email provider (Google Workspace), only for the contents of emails or data requests you send us.
We don’t sell consumer health data, and we don’t share it with any other third parties or affiliates. We don’t use geofencing.
Your rights
- Confirm and access: ask whether we hold your consumer health data and get a copy. Everything you’ve logged is also visible in the app, and you can export it (⚙️ Settings → 📄 Doctor report & CSV export).
- List of recipients: ask for the list of third parties and processors that received it. Today that’s our hosting provider (Hostinger) and our email provider (Google Workspace), plus the family members you chose.
- Delete: delete entries in the app, or delete your account and synced data instantly at our delete-account page.
- Withdraw consent: sign out and use the app on-device only, or delete your account.
To make a request, use our request form or email alex@datahoundtech.com. We’ll verify that the request comes from the account holder and respond within 30 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If you’re still unsatisfied, you can contact your state attorney general (in Washington: atg.wa.gov).
